Hyatt Regency Dallas & Reunion Tower

Hyatt Regency Dallas & Reunion Tower

Dallas, Texas

Since opening in 1978, Hyatt Regency Dallas and Reunion Tower have served as an iconic gateway to downtown Dallas from the west and the south, in large part due to the tower’s height, distinctive geodesic dome and state-of-the-art lighting system.

Led by Woodbine Founder and Chairman John Field Scovell, the concurrent development of the hotel and tower made up Woodbine’s first vertical construction effort—and the realization of Ray L. Hunt’s vision for adding a large-scale and lasting addition to the Dallas skyline. Over the decades, Woodbine has acted on behalf of Hunt ownership as the developer, project/construction manager and asset manager of both Hyatt Regency Dallas and Reunion Tower, which have undergone multiple renovations and expansions to ensure the continued market acceptance and economic viability of this collective and one-of-a-kind destination.

Today, the project is not only representative of the beginning of Woodbine’s longstanding partnership with Mr. Hunt—but also the beginning of many other relationships for Woodbine in the city of Dallas and beyond. We truly believe those relationships are what made it possible for us to evolve from an inspired start-up enterprise to a highly experienced real estate developer, owner and asset manager of memorable projects around the country.
